Actually, FT shooting under Pastner is far better than under Calipari.

Calipari's teams usually shot under 65% from the FT line, sometimes far worse than that.

Under Pastner:
2009-10: 69.4%
2010-11: 68.0%
2011-12: 71.7%
2012-13: 68.2%

Not spectacular, but pretty solid.

FTs count the same in the first minute as they do in crunch time. Very likely if we had hit our FT in first half we woudl have been up big and Rice woudl have had to abandon their game plan to try and catch up. We lost a National Championship because of FT shooting.
