RE: BE Vs. MWC Article
The only problem with that analysis is that there is a heavy SOS component in them and the nBE schools don't get to continue playing Pitt, West Virginia and the legions of schools that have dumped them.
Yoda out...

RE: BE Vs. MWC Article
The MWC is still the MWC while the Big East is the old CUSA.

RE: BE Vs. MWC Article
When the numbers start coming in the future I bet the top end, minus maybe Cincy drop for the nBE. Since UConn, Cincy, USF, will replace UL, Cuse, Pitt w/ Tulane, Memphis, Temple every year. They'll start to look more like the Houston and UCF numbers who have been playing Tulane, Memphis.
Edit: ya what yoda said

BTW, I figured up Tulsa's F+ # they averaged 49.8 over the last 5 seasons.
Don't know where we will end up, but we would rank #2 in MWC & #4 in BE.

Actually, the MWC is 50% new WAC:
Hawaii
Fresno
San Jose State
Nevada-Reno
BSU
Utah State

RE: BE Vs. MWC Article
P.S.
If Tulsa does indeed replace SDSU in the Big east, going by the criteria reference in the article the top 7 football programs from the MWC or BE would be:
1. Boise State
2. Cincy
3. UConn
4. South Florida
5. Tulsa
6. Houston
7. UCF.
Likewise, 7 of the worst 9 programs from the two conferences would then be MWC programs.

What if the Big East adds both Tulsa and UMass or lose more teams to the ACC and your team ends up in the MWC? With BYU sitting at #55 in the BCS rankings, and ranked well behind Boise State, San Diego State, Fresno State, SJSU, and, yes, even Utah State, I guess we will just have to suck it up with having one more team to drag on the conference rankings.

RE: BE Vs. MWC Article
Like I said Cincy, USF, UConn got a sos boost playing Pitt, UL, Cuse. Now they are playing CUSA schools. Look at Houston, UCF, SMU numbers, that will be more their average.
The top one, BSU matters the most, if they get the BCS game who cares if nBE had the 2,3,4th teams. Sagarin also has NDSU ranked ahead of BSU and SHSU ahead of SDSU, so don't get too excited about numbers. The eye ball test says we are equal w/ the edge at the top w/ BSU

BYU would be 2nd in the MWC or 2nd in the Big east according to these rankings. But hey, if only the Cougars were as good as USU and SDSU, you know, teams that lost to BYU without scoring a touchdown between the two of them.
