in all seriousness....Kennedy's teams have started well every year and faltered in SEC play. SEC is way down this year so well see if they can maintain this success for once

RE: OT, guess who is 14-2?
AK's teams have had huge injury issues in his years at Ole Miss that I think have prevented a couple of his teams from being NCAA tournament caliber. This is the best team he has coached there and so far it has remained relatively healthy. The end of last night's game was pretty awesome. They have some players and are pretty fun to watch. I hope he finally breaks through.

That is accurate. It cost them a couple of probable Tourney invites.

Didn't mind AK until that sh*t he pulled at the end of his 1 year reign. I hope he continues to host games in mid-March.

RE: OT, guess who is 14-2?
supposedly AK was on the coaching bubble this season so he needed this type of start. I'll never forgive the guy for giving up at UC during the NIT run and sitting back and watching James White and Muhammed quit attending classes. He had to have known it would have killed uc's chances of winning it. I figure that he didn't care. Also, I felt HE and the Athletic director should have been contacting recruits for the next season, whether they knew they had the job or not. He did a great job overall with that team but he left it in a mess when he talked Downey into transferring away. Mick inherited one of the worst situations a college basketball coach could have.

It's what he didn't do. Like keep track of the players and make sure they were attending class. As a coach, he should have been doing that if nothing else. That UC team had a decent chance of winning the NIT and he quit caring about the school. I bet Andy didn't refuse a pay check during that season.

Lame duck coaches are really good at getting players who know they have no power to do what they say.

I can't tell you how many athletes in football, track & field, etc. I knew while at UC who either didn't show up to class or slept through the entire thing. Coaches aren't babysitters and these are grown men and women. If they don't want to take advantage of a free (or cheaper) education, there's the exit.

Yes these were the only two players in any program who didn't go to class and people know for a fact the coach fully knew and acquiesced. As if it was good for him to have two key players suspended for the crucial last few games of the season when he was trying like hell to win games and end up with another job. His motive makes total sense. Lol. That would have really helped him get a job after all to let these two skip, and lose eligibility either in the big dance (which we nearly made or in the nit). People also crucified the guy for not recruiting as a lame duck coach.

The Kennedy not recruiting posts were easily among my all-time favorites.

Here I thought the answer to the OP was Boise State. Then I saw that they lost today to New Mexico and are 13-3 instead.

Still, they're having a great run, including a win @ Creighton.
