LOL

Most HOF coaches would have failed to go undefeated in conf that year.

Why?

Memphis already went 13-3. A horrible loss to SMU and a dump to Houston (a team Memphis beat handily earlier in the year) gets them to 15-1.

The UTEP game was tough one. That was a pretty good squad actually. Maybe the 2nd best CUSA team in the time from 2005-2010 (next to the UAB squad of 2005-6). It was at home and only ended up being a 5 point game.

I never expected you to agree. That was already a given.

I could point to how impossible it normally is to go undefeated in conference, and how much harder it would have been with who we lost and what was left and blah blah blah, but that conversation has already been had a million times here.

Boring stuff, for a long time now.

Then why do you keep posting if it is so boring?

What are you even talking about?

I think you must be Stammers less abrasive alter ego. It is interesting how often you two pop up at the same time on the same threads, especially when I post.

Its not all about you my friend. People post because they want to, no conspiracy against you is involved.

Your just another poster, and I don't think badly of you at all.

I'm trying to be serious.

There is no conspiracy involving Stammers, you and me.

Sometimes we are just gonna post in the same thread. It just happens. It doesn't have a deeper, menacing meaning.

I wouldn't say that...But they were as talented or more talented than every team they set foot on the floor with in conference.

...which goes back to the point of...you beat UMass (as long as DJ doesn't lose that ball at the end of the game) and SMU (no excuse for that) and that team is 25-6 at the end of the year. Losses to #1 seeds Syr and Kansas, #6 seed UTK and #8 seed Gonzaga. Lost to at-large bud UTEP (15-1 in CUSA) are all "good" losses.

That puts them solidly in the tourney, despite people talking about how awful the nuked program was while eating a sno-cone with ranch dressing at Harbortown.

I agree it wasn't a bad team...Best team talent wise in C-USA that year...But it is not comparable to this team

Agree to disagree, but I think a lot of people are enamored with "expectations" "potential" and "ceiling" on this team when "results" are lacking.

I do think you would agree though that March results are what matters with this team and we aren't there yet.

Its too bad we didn't win another game in Atlantis, but if we had and then been one and done in March, thats all that would have really mattered.

Likewise, if we win a few games in the NCAA's, Atlantis will seem much less important than it does today.

Fair enough.
