James is an Unrestricted Free Agent. Think the Texans will bring him back or will he get a big payday from a team that wants to utilize his full suite of abilities ?

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats tried to pick him up if the Texans don't offer big money.

I feel like he would fit well in their schemes.

Most of the sports talk hosts are saying he's too expensive for the Texans to keep now.

Wait, isn't there a rule that prohibits the posting on a Rice forum by Patriot fans until the Patriots lose or Tom Brady leaves football to raise Llamas (which ever comes first)?

I said this when he left Rice

hate the idea of it. Its great for Rice for him to play for the Texans, but James should do whats right best for him and his family.

James Casey and Jimmy Graham would make for some interesting match ups!

On the other hand, it's not bad for Rice for him to play for a team that can actually get to a Super Bowl, and that plays in prime time virtually every single week.

Won't happen, but it would be interesting to see what Jim Harbaugh could do with Thor's talents.

Owen Daniels is getting old and his productivity is not what it once was. Maybe the Texans re-sign Thor, move him to TE, and release Daniels to save some money?

Fourteen teams, plus the Texans, have called about James Casey. Philly is his first visit.

Wow. Congrats to James. We all knew he had some serious talent, and it looks like the NFL has taken notice as well.

He's smart, I'm sure he'll make a wise decision.

If I were in his position I'd go to wherever I'm going to get the most targets combined with proper respect in contract terms.

I'd be excited to see what Chip Kelly came up with for him in Philly. Not known to use FBs, but definitely a believer in quick, pass-catching TEs.

Wouldn't be surprised if one of those teams is Atlanta. Another will be the Giants since they lost a TE. If Rex Ryan had one sliver of offensive genius in him, it would be the Jets. Miami could be a great target place. Cleveland just lost their TE to free agency. Both Harbaugh bros would treat Casey like a football card instead of a starter. I believe the best thing he can do is get out of Houston.
