Yep.

And since there is NOTHING the kids can do at this point about losing 2 November games...all they can do is win the games in front of them.

Earning respect.

Except from some, oddly, Memphis fans.

I get it- some will refuse to enjoy anything because of those 2 losses. And the reminders will come, after each game (live which is more annoying than the self-flagellation that goes on here).

would have been nice to have a nice team like a UF, NCState, G-town, Kansas in the Non-conference game in Feb....I'm concerned that we will get seeded below 10 even if we run the table. we'll see.....

We don't deserve any votes. Who have we beat?
If we go 25-5 with loses to the top 5 teams and then beat a bunch of scrubs would you give us votes?

I think any team in a major conference that has 5 more losses than us will be seeded below us...

So if we go 30-3 we will be seeded at least 4

We were running the #1 team in the country off the court until the refs stepped in and bailed them out. I think it at least shows something about our potential. If we could only learn to put together 40 min. of solid basketball, we could be pretty good come March.

We're at this stage of the season.....win against cusa and gripe about not being respected although we loss to all the good teams we've played.

I can't wait til the next stage! COGS

SMU, UTEP, USM and Marshall will all be tough road games. Even ECU won't be easy in Mengis or however it's spelled.

This means jack **** to the committee. That's the reality of it. Had we held on and won we'd have a shot at a 4-6 seed.

I hate to agree with this. We have shown flashes of brilliance but even more flashes of not. Hope we crack the top 25 before the end of the season.

This team is ranked exactly where they deserve to be ranked. They are reaping what they have earned to this point.

You don't sound impressed by a 7 point lead at the half to Rice.

A 5 or 6. Which is about what we would deserve with no quality wins.

I'll take it

RE: Basketball polls - no respect for Tigers
A 6 or 7 seed would be more advantageous as this puts us in the lower half of the bracket. Looking back on the last 5 years the 6 pr 7 seed has advanced past the first round more than the 5 seed. And looking back to 2006 the 8 or 9 seed is the kiss of death for winning nothing more than a first round game. So preferably a 6-7 seed, or even a 10-11 seed. Of course a 1,2,3,4 seed would be okidoki but that is pretty much not gonna happen.
