Interesting article about some Cinncy recruits and how Tubberville is trying to get them to de-commit, a one Cinncy commit had an NIU offer.

RE: Cinncy Recruits
They have a commit from a decent DT out of Baltimore(Nik DAvanzo, Archbishop Curley) 6-3 283, also has offers from UMASS & Temple. He would be a nice pickup at a position that is tough to fill

RE: Cinncy Recruits
NIU has a considerable number of Catholic HS grads, that fact could be used to lure this DT to NIU. He has 4.9/40 speed also, one of the faster High School DT's out there and at 6-3 283 has decent size

These are the type of kids we need to get with size. At 6 3' this kid could play at 300...need big bodies on the line

I agree, he could be a real steal. He's from a region that NIU normally doesn't recruit but Maryland is talent rich and I would guess he's a good student.
The more talent NIU gets from Alabama, Florida, Maryland, Missou, Kansas, MN & Wisky; the fewer instate players you get and less likely competition for these players from other MAC schools.

RE: Cinncy Recruits
It says that he is also considering Maryland (as of 12/20) and he committed to Cincy (10/20), but I don't see an offer from them. Makes it sound like he has opened things back up looking at that
