Tell me people don't care. They do, now it's time to win back the trust of the alumni, and win the trust of business leaders.

Never seen it like this myself. It makes ya feel great that so many people DO care about ETSU athletics

Everyone except Bill Meade. If ESPN or the Associated Press wrote an article for him to read on the air he'd care about it.
I'm annoyed as hell about that situation. It's a damn disgrace.

I'm looking forward when all of this translates to "butts in the seats." I dream of the day with football and basketball games averaging 5 figure attendance as a matter of routine. Remember...ETSU tasted big time in the early 90s. Noland is building a team that will systematically sustain success once it arrives again.

Basketball may never be a consistent five figure, but it could be a high four. It just sucks we have to go through this process of playing nice. Just make the darn announcement to bring back football, start the search IMMEDIATELY for a coach and staff.

Yes when the local state university makes an AD change and the president holds a press conference to discuss it and athletics in general, it should be the main topic of the local sports talk radio show. It is frustrating to listen to how it is ignored by that show. Just plain frustrating.

Patience my friend. I realize that's in short supply after a decade of waiting but there are still plenty of hoops to jump through. Dr. Sander said there'd be movement in 4-6 weeks, that's faster than most athletic departments/universities make on a major decision.

Putting the cart before the horse to talk coaching staff before facilities. You want to hire and pay guys to stand around and look at each other?

The fact that they are openly saying 4-6 weeks convinces me the decision has already been made and most of the dealing is already finished. Any major decision at a place like that has private conversations long before anything is made public. I would assume that Dr. Noland began working on football/conference things through back channels very shortly after he arrived on campus last year.
