Wonder why Joe Louis wasn't on the lists of most important?

The first black super-hero athlete, and in my book, right there with Ali.

He also broke the color barrier in the PGA.

How soon we forget.

People only remember their own age groups.

It is amazing to me that when folks are discussing the greatest BB players, just how few mention Jerry West or Oscar Robertson. Don't even think about Bob Cousy or Guy Rodgers.

I know you were joking, but Meadowlark brought more joy to kids of every color most or all any of the others.

I still remember my dad taking me to see the Globetrotters and Meadowlark around '56 or '57.

I just checked. He is still alive and living the good life in Arizona.

Not while the media insists on it. Check out the survey even the players know the media are the ones who won't let it go.
