McGee needs to understand that we need to win games now. Not in 2 years. His stubbornness may have cost UAB about 4 ballgames.

I would love to start beating out other D1 schools for recruits.

I disagree. At no point do I think McGee was making a decision that he believed would cost the team a game. I do believe, however, that he was trying to build for the future. If you didn't try to run his offense with the QB that was the best fit last year, then you'd be going through the growing pains this upcoming season. About half way through last season, we all knew the season was a lost cause, once again. Winning 1 or 2 more games while running something different than what he intends to do would have been counterproductive.(and we don't even know that this would have happened) I expect to see a very different team this season. I think they'll be competitive in most games, and I'm hoping they finally hit 6 wins.

I don't even think we were running his "complete" offense. Didn't he say he had to scrap some of it in order to simplify it?

Yes, I'm certain we weren't running his complete offense. But he was trying to run some form of his offense. I want a coach who knows what he wants to do, and is willing to do it the best way he sees fit. We had a lot of issues last year, but there was also a good bit of progress.(mainly the o-line and rushing attack) I figured the year was going to go about the way it did, and I'm okay with that as a fan. Next year, I expect to see better results on the field.(especially on the defensive side)
