RE: Questions for Coach Cronin
Yeah, ask him when he's going to upgrade his offense from his junior high days to actually playing a college offense.

Then ask him how he thinks this crappy offensive style helps in recruiting?

Also ask him if he misses Yancy yet, and if he thinks he'll ever recruit a legit scoring big man that isn't lazy?

That's a start.

Ask Mick how many more games he would win if he always consulted with Chatter.

On a serious note, please ask Mick what it was that he and his coaches saw on tape that made them want to use so much clock on the offensive side of the ball.

Anyone can see that they play hard on defense, then rest on offense.
Most teams do the reverse.

RE: Questions for Coach Cronin
I was there at Rutgers last night. looks like Mick does a lot of coaching and yelling on defense and than crosses his arms and stands stoic on offense. no urgency. Cash just dribbles and hangs out until he realizes theres 9 seconds left and "oh crap we gotta make a move..." its a tired shtick.

My question:

Mick, it's great to have you coaching UC. My question is, after mentioning that lack of depth killed us vs. OSU last year, and that we needed to improve upon it, how would you assess our bench players so far this season?

I like Cronin, but his answers on why UC loses games often don't jive with what I just watched. I hate to think a "lack of depth" is what killed us against a team that only went 7 deep. I thought what killed us that game was Craft abusing us defensively (both in terms of forcing turnovers and getting away with a ton of contact in doing so...grabs, holds, reaches), Craft hitting some outside shots (something we were not really focused on defending with good reason), and Thomas absolutely lighting it up.

RE: Questions for Coach Cronin
What challenges do you see with UC remaining in the current Big East especially with the loss of the Catholic 7 schools?

Real answers please. Not the standard "We will be fine". Otherwise no need to ask the question.

RE: Questions for Coach Cronin
I would like to know his theory on bringing all 5 offensive players into the backcourt against full-court pressure like Rutgers brought. It appeared to bunch the court up bringin all ten players into the backcourt and spacing appeared to not be very good!

RE: Questions for Coach Cronin
I would like to know why everyone is on Cronin's junk?!?

We are 14-3 (2-2) and have been ranked most of the year. We all knew coming in we didn't have a post scorer goto guy. We all knew we would be challenged offensively. We all knew we would have speed, depth, and play tough defense.

In short we are having a good year. There is a lot of basketball left and we are gonna win some games and make the ncaa unless there is an absolute implosion and major injuries.

the last UC team that would have a serious chance at beating this year's UC squad is most likely Logan's sr year team...you know, the one that was ousted in the second round despite being a one seed.

Some of you need to take a deep breath and step away from the keyboard and get a little perspective.

#1, who in this thread, besides Chatter, was all that bad? Just about all the rest were good questions.

i didn't want to call out one person so it was easier to speak in plurality...probably should have just called the man out. My bad.

I have my doubts that this year's team is better than last year's team. Atleast last year's team come March.

And this year's team is regressing.

As for your comments about the offense struggling.........I thought the offense would be better.........and all my UC friends did too.

Geez. I just looked at your birth date and you're almost exactly a year older than me.

Scary stuff. 02-13-banana

RE: Questions for Coach Cronin
I don't even like when pro or college coaches get interviewed because the vast majority tell you absolutely nothing and when you ask a really good question they give you the run around. As for the people on Mick's case, the 2012-2013 story is still being told. Judge after the last game is played.
