I had thought it made a lot of sense for UConn and Cincy to try to go C7 if they could find a football home. The problem was that I didn't see the nBE tolerating it, felt CUSA had over-expanded to make CUSA viable, and neither was calling MAC or Sun Belt.

Just never contemplated MWC but then again... I own a map.

How many teams were "fully committed" to the BE before they left? A bunch. I've been saying for a while now that it didn't make sense for UConn to not be going with the C-7 schools...it's their history and tradition...football is an after thought at UConn.

it has nothing to do with fully committed...it would leave them without a football conference...BE won't let tem do football only...and the MWC has already sold their soul to Boise.

I honestly think UConn and possibly Cincy are about to screw the rest of you guys big time. You know they think they are better than you guys and they feel they're lowering themselves to come down to the dirty South to play the likes of Memphis, ECU, SMU, Houston, Tulane and UCF. They were ok as long as their other Basketball snobs were there, but now they're gone. I believe the C-7 talks are very real. UConn just probably didn't think it would get leaked. I'm not so sure about the MWC thing for their football (I'd guess MAC or Indy), but you can bet UConn and Cincy are getting out of the nBE one way or another. The key will be the nBE TV contract. if it comes in as low as some have suggested you can bet that UConn will be playin' ball with the Catholics.

I don't claim to be an expert at all, but I thought that UConn didn't try to hide its disdain for the the C7 programs when and how they left.

Money talks loud and can soothe bruised egos/feelings, so I suppose anything can and probably will happen.

You have to love the irony of Aresco Conference lovers thinking anyone is a misinformed idiot.

Best part is everything I and most others predicted going back to when all this new shuffling started has come true. About the only thing I was wrong on was my Notre Dame & Louisville to Big 12. They joined the ACC instead.
