3,266 Tickets Sold for the Orange Bowl
Utterly brutal by our fan base. Pathetic.

2,876 student tickets.
8,100 tickets donated by the school.

We're lucky the MAC isn't going to let us take the hit.

I blame our schedule for this. /sarcasmfont

I wonder how many bought through stubhub?

Had no idea 8K+ were donated.

A quote from Compher in the Sun-Times a couple days before the Orange Bowl indicated ticket sales around the 3000 mark. Of course, a lot of Huskie fans bought through StubHub which isn't reflected in these numbers.

Donated to whom? The amount of Huskie red in the NIU zone makes me wonder if a good chunk of the "donation" stayed in house.

That's pretty weak. At least the appearance was better, with a large section of solid red in the stadium.

Not sure how that could be considering some of you are claiming 20k of us were there? This isn't even close to adding up. Even with Stubhub and outside factors.

It's a very sad number, but at lease it looked like we had 17,500 people in the stadium

Some of the figures thrown around here about the number of Huskie fans in attendance were beyond outlandish.

This does not jive with the turnout - what is the source?

Sooooo tired of seeing people on here talk about "respect" and ripping on Herbstreit and the Orange Bowl for saying they didn't want us. They didn't want us because we lost by 3 TDs, got outgained by 300 yards, and we sold 3,000 tickets to the game. They were right for not wanting us. Face the facts.

Fans and players had a chance to prove them wrong, and we all collectively shat the bed.

This is why it was important to buy your tickets thru the school and not stubhub.

Oh yeah, and our head coach acted like a child in his post game press conference.

Why would they care how many tickets we sold? They get their money one way or the other. The ratings could have been better - but the game didn't start until 8:30 and was over after midnight when most people had to work the next day. And the viewership was still higher than the Sugar Bowl.
