I think dating that super model and seeing her get sick wealthy doing nothing but be hot has messed up his values.

Braves are looking for a left handed bat for their bench. I wonder if Boesch would be a good fit. We seem to always trade with them.

Get an arm for the bullpen. You don't have to give up Porcello (who still has 3 seasons under club control and is young) to get this done. Hopefully they are interested. I don't see a downside. We've got Jackson, Hunter, Berry, Garcia and Dirks in the OF.

Did you guys see Raburn has 3 HRs this spring for Cleveland?

LOL...I can just imagine him coming back to haunt us.

Rayburn is always on the "verge". Drove me nuts with him. No doubt he will get hot for month...just like Inge did last year. But at some point you can't hide from who you are on the field.

RE: Tigers thread...2013 edition
I have no problem getting rid of him. He was garbage at the plate and on defense.

I think he hit a walkoff vs the Cubs and he hit a HR against the White Sox in the 9th inning of that huge comeback game on the same day as the WMU-um 3-quarter game.

Those are my only two memories of him. Oh yeah, and he threw a runner out at the plate in the 2009 tiebreaker game vs the Twins.

Those are three pretty big memories, but the hundreds of disappointments outweigh them.

Braves fan here...kinda hard to imagine a whole lot of interest in Boesch. The guy never walks, is useless against lefties, and is a terrible outfielder. You're right, the Tigers and Braves have made quite a few deals over the years so I guess you never know.

The guy always showed huge promise in spring training, but when the season starts he always disappeared. I will bet the same happens in Cleveland.

They want a left handed bat for the bench. Assuming their outfield stays healthy, the guy would be limited to probably 30 starts and pinch hitting duties. They aren't going to pay a free agent to do that. And Detroit has a surplus of guys in the OF.

I do agree with you on the assessment of Boesch...but the Braves don't want someone to hit against lefties or play the OF on a regular basis.

Problem is he doesn't hold it like an egg.

Watching replay from earlier today. It wasn't pretty. Glimpses of domination...but needs real consistency.

Dude can bring it though. 98 mph heater...and he's just wild enough to scare the pee out of most hitters.

RE: Tigers thread...2013 edition
that's why i'm ok with signing valverde if they can get him cheap as a late relief/backup closer type guy. not to be our everyday closer (unless we need him to)

I can't handle it if I have to watch him for another season. There is a reason why none of the other 29 teams have signed him.

I would like to see Albuquerque get an opportunity to close. When he's healthy, his numbers are pretty filthy.
