I think Josh should bite a towl...all coaches who bite towels have won a championship.

Josh is micro-managing every aspect of the game...You can see it in his substitution patterns

Guys are played based on what they are doing right now...

Turn the ball over someone is going to the table for you, if the person who turned it over makes a three next time down the floor the his replacement is pulled back to the bench...

Make a mistake and get pulled if the team plays well when you are out you may not get back in...

He has to evaluate who he trusts and actually trust their ass...He needs to decide what defense this team is best at playing and actually teach them to play that defense efficiently

I'll tell you why. Because he, like the majority of Tiger fans are trying to figure out why they keep seeing the same issues manifest themselves over and over and over again.

Folks ain't happy and all you need to do is sit in the FEF and listen what people around you are saying to figure it out.

Right or wrong our fans have tasted greatness and they expect it now. Three years of top ten recruiting classes and people start to expect more. I bet if you asked our previous coach he would tell you that, top to bottom, there is more talent on this team than any of his Memphis teams.

Tubby's name has been mentioned on this board as a possible target should we need to replace Josh for whatever reason. He can coach but not recruit, or so the UK faithful believed. Would people rather have that scenario here? Wildcat fans didn't care much for it.

I'd like to see improvement, not just this year with this coach and team, but every year with every coach and every team. Of the 50 years I've been a Tiger fan, the most disappointed I've ever been over losses was during the 2007-08 season when there were only two of them!

Sorry, that's just the way it is, and before you start with the "unrealistic" comments, tell me this -- when we were up 27 on these last guys, did you think we should ease off some? What about when we were up 20 on UTK -- too much for any of you? How about 20-0 over Louisville in the mid 80's? Time to clear the bench if you were coaching? Please, we all want more. If you say you don't, I say stop lying. Just stop it. I haven't hated any coach here, although I've been very disgusted with one or two of 'em (still am with one), but the one we have now has some room for improvement. What's so tough about admitting it?

Amen!

Please just stop with the "Josh just can't win" no matter what he does stuff. Not trying to call you out but its like the straw that broke the camels back for me. Every time someone has a suggestion or gripe about something, Josh's bodyguards come out.

I don't know if I agree with the OP but does every topic around here have to start and end with Josh sucks or Josh is the next John Wooden. Is there no gray area in there we can have a discussion on what "OUR TEAM" needs or needs to get rid of etc.?

Sorry for taking up your post with my rant. Its getting really boring around here this group of people who have virtually nothing to add to a conversation except digs at the people on the other side of their fence.

Please just stop with the" how dare you defend Josh" and the "poor us, we can't criticize anything" posts.

The level of criticism vs positivity here is 3 to 1 negative.

If you have a right to criticize, others have a right to question it. If you have a right to question CJP, others have a right to question you.

Stop crying about it all the time.

Whats boring around here is the mostly negative posting after every single win. The UT game was the only game this year that the board wasn't flooded with negativity post game.

We can't win for losing with so many of you.

No one here ever says Josh doesn't have faults or the team and staff is flawless, but you would think half the board claims we are are a picture perfection from these posts. That is total BS. Just because every single poster won't get in line and say "damn, were just flat screwed" after EVERY WIN doesn't mean they don't think we have flaws.

No one here got "bent out of shape" at all.

There was a very civil discussion being had.

Some people just get frustrated when everyone won't agree that CJP is a terrible or too flawed to be our coach.

Now the thread has turned into the "poor us, we can't criticize anything rant". And no one stopped anyone from criticizing ANYTHING.

I've always enjoyed the posts best that analyze what happened and why. You don't have to be positive or negative to be interesting, just talk about something meaningful, don't be personally insulting, and make reading your post worth the reader's time.

Whether you feel someone is being overly positive or negative, discussing the CONTENT of their post is almost always more effective than discussing the TONE of their post. As always, my opinion only and your mileage may vary...

[/step off soapbox]

As for the OP, I actually think most top coaches are involved and yelling pretty much all the time. I'd actually be a little concerned if he wasn't up, moving, and directing traffic. Again, reasonable minds can disagree, but a lot of the top coaches are very active...

Watched some of Cuse/Providence last night. You could have fried an egg on Boeheim's head late. He was very 'active'...
