...they blow out to a big lead and then give it up. They lose their focus and have a real hard time getting it back.

For whatever it's worth our coach was laughing during a timeout with about 4 minutes to go in the half.. If that doesn't tell the team it's ok to play unfocused I don't know what is.. Saban was up 35-7 and chewing players as though they had just whistled at his wife.., I'm just sayin.

Hard to figure out. Scary, too!

Kind of like an ascending plane suddenly going into a spiral dive only to pull out a few feet from crashing into bits.

We are certainly not allergic to poor passing and shot selection though. And of course, offensive fouls!

Might have a good point there...Cal was harder on those guys in these type games than ever. Too easy to relax.

Just very frustrating. They should be cruising to an easy W. But they let off the pedal, and now its a ballgame. Definitely a focus issue. Have to keep up the intensity.

This is why anyone predicting 16-0 in C-USA is going out on a mighty long limb. This coach and these players are not the same as the previous coach and his players. Calipari and his teams from 2005-06 to 2008-09 were at a whole different level, whether we want to admit it or not. I hope 16-0 happens, but it is hard to be confident of such things when you watch Memphis give up a 21-0 run to ECU in FedExForum. That should never happen in a million years.

They need to learn to forget the score, play hard, and play smart ALL the time. They can yuck it up when they are up 20-30 with a minute and a half left.

It's a shame that Josh and a bunch of juniors have not learned to stay focused for an entire game yet..........they are consistantly unable to put an inferior team down and keep them there.

Yep. Should be mop up time for the bench players right now, resting the starters. Oh well. 03-banghead

22 straight points by ECU from end of 1st half and beginning of 2nd half.

Wow!

They have got to quit this habit of playing half the game. Yes, they will get away with it most nights in CUSA but against a quality opponent it has and is going to bite them in the butt. It's not all on Josh. We need a couple of the older players to step up and keep everyone locked in.

I think we have to give ECU a little credit. 14 3's! Alot with a hand in their face.
