RE: 2013 Schedule
With some of our teams in the conference as bad as they are, an EMU for example, already takes the place of our subdivision game. Believe we have now gotten big enough where we should for example play a schedule with 2 BCS conference games and 2 OOC mid major teams.

At some point maybe we move that number to 3 BCS conf games and 1 mid major.

No one is dying to come to HS to see any of the teams on our home schedule. As the saying goes, how ya gonna keep em down on the farm (EMU, Akron) after they've seen Paree (Fl St).

Therein lies the problem. I don't understand. In all my years of going to Huskie Stadium, I have never once been to a game to see the other team play. I go to see my team play and if the opponent is a "name" great. If the other team draws you to the stadium, then it makes no sense to be a season ticket holder. Catch games at UI, NU, ND. I am dying to see the MAC Champs and orange Bowl participent play next season.

I think casual fans, or non-fans, would go based on the opponent though. And you can't turn casual fans into passionate fans unless you at least get them to games.

For the 2013 season athletics could get better attendance by just announcing the dates of home games along with that days event/promo NOT who is the opponent.

Thank you. The issue is not what attracts the diehards; we're showing up regardless of the opponent. What we're trying to do is attract the new or casual fans. To them, playing a name opponent DOES make a difference.
