At this point, I'd take Al Groh over Stinespring.

Now I'm hearing NO to Pep Hamilton, but Beamer is talking to Chuck Long?

Candidates which VT has talked to and are NOT going to be our next OC:

Pep Hamilton, Stanford
Chuck Long, former Kansas
Mike Bobo, Georgia
Scot Loeffler, former Auburn*

* I guess the OC at Blacksburg High School wasn't interested either?

THIS STINKS!

Maybe Loeffler wanted the Blacksburgs HS gig, but there just wasn't an opening. So looks like he took his second choice:

"[Loeffler's] Auburn group finished 115th in total offense and 112th in scoring."

Are we SURE this is an upgrade?

Its exactly what I would do if I were Beamer and was thinking, "Hey, what can I do to make everyone not like me anymore? I know, I'll get the guy who'll have people longing for the good ole Stinespring days when we used to move the ball."
