RE: ECU game on Fox Sports South: Not showing in Nashville or ATL?
I remember the good old days when one didn't have to fear whether or not a Tigers game would be on TV, or even the radio. Remember the reliable broadcasts on channel 24 or 30.. no crap about needing to get expensive cable or dish or even if you did, you knew it was still available on a local broadcast channel. Nowadays, it's total opposite. It's a big guessing game, what IF ANY channel its going to be on, and if you do get lucky enough to have the right service to see it, it's some blurry ass jumbotron piecemeal crap with the radio announcers... nothing professional about it at all. Do they even do the delayed channel 10 games anymore? I remember one could always at least get that if nothing else. I doubt they even care, or can afford, to do that anymore.
And now for the radio.. being out of town, for years I knew if I couldn't find a tv feed somewhere, I could at least listen to the radio broadcast online. Now, they even rudely intentionally taken that away. I nearly fell out of my seat when I heard they now have TWO different WREC AM 600 broadcasts.. one for over-the-air that includes the Tigers and one for streaming online without the Tigers playing some Hannity, Rush or UFO crap instead. And even on the webpage it says "Memphis Tigers" listen now! LOL Yeah right. It makes me wonder, do they not want fans to even hear the games anymore??? Are they that hurting for ticket sales at the Forum that they have to resort to blacking out the broadcasts to get the population down there? Do they not even want fans anymore? I'm just about ready to say heck with it and stop watching (and listening) altogether to be honest.
Will it even get better in the Big East or get even WORSE?? If worse, I wish they'd just go back to a conference where we all can actually get the games again without any effort.
If a school can't afford to make a real television broadcast of their games anymore and have gone that much downhill, they are not worth my time. That's how I'm beginning to see it and I'm sure many agree. In the days of the internet, it should not be this impossible to get a good broadcast of the game, be it tv, radio or whatever. And one should not have to pay the cost of a Forum ticket to get it either.. Hello... that's why they make us listen to commercials??

the entire media fiasco is 100% the fault of cusa .. .Memphis 9even RC Johnson) has nothing to do with it ... our tV/ cable media rights are controlled by the conference

Mine was.
Initially, I thought I may have had too many pre game libations. But, it was a really bad picture regardless of the empty cans.

Please don't let facts get in the way of a crazy rant about the good ol' days of the Bly broadcasts being local Memphis tv and tape delayed broadcasts on channel 10.
