We got Hudson from Minnesota where he was a position coach. You would think that our coach has contacts in college football, but it appears that he doesn't.

Hudson was DC at Minnesota for 2 years before we hired him, and they had pretty good years on defense both years.

I thought he was a linebackers coach and maybe Asst DC. How did we get a BCS DC to come to ECU? If that is true, then why can't we do it again. Why are we going after MTSU's DC?

I have no idea how we did it. Holtz had good connections I guess and they had a good history together. I just don't know who's out there we can get that will be as good as Hud.

Holtz was personal friends with him from ND...that, plus its Minnesota....the money may also have similar at that time.

How did Tyrone get to be DC at Ole Miss? Let's put it this way. Spurrier talked USM into hiring Ellis Johnson too.

Hud graduated from Notre Dame in '90. Skip was back at UND (after graduating in 86) in 1990. I assume they had a good relationship then.

No to Mr. Hix. We can do better. We are though going to have to pay for it.
