PLAYER OF THE WEEK
NICOLE DICKSON, MEMPHIS

Dickson averaged 24.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.0 block and 1.0 steal a game in a 2-0 week for the Tigers last week. Against Tennessee Tech, Dickson scored 13 of her 15 points in the second half to help Memphis come back from a 33-32 halftime deficit. Dickson hit a jumper coming out of halftime to give Memphis a lead it would never relinquish by scoring seven of Memphis' first 14 points of the final 20 minutes. She finished with 15 points and five rebounds, adding a block and an 83.3 percent stroke from the free-throw line. Against Wright State, Dickson helped the Tigers to a quick start, scoring 25 first half points. She ended up playing just 29 minutes, the second lowest minutes total for her this season, but finished with 34 points, her fourth game this season with 30 or more points. She shot 73.3 percent from the field (11-for-15) against Wright State, hit 3-of-4 3-point field goal attempts and was 9-for-10 from the free-throw line. For the week, she shot 51.7 percent (15-of-29) from the field, 45.5 percent (5-of-11) from 3-point range and 87.5 percent (14-of-16) from the stripe. This is Dickson's third Player of the Week honor this season and for her career.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
ARIEL HEARN, MEMPHIS
5-7, GUARD / MEMPHIS, TENN. / ARLINGTON HS
Hearn averaged 19.5 points, a team-high 8.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and a steal in a pair of wins last week. The freshman posted her first career double-double in the win over Tennessee Tech. Hearn was 9-for-13 from the field (69.2 percent) and hit multiple 3-point field goals in a game for the first time this season (2-for-2). She led the team with a career-high 10 rebounds and scored a personal-best 23 points. Against Wright State, Hearn finished with 16 points and a game-high eight assists. She was also second on the team with six rebounds. This is Hearn's second consecutive Freshman of the Week honor.
