Matt Krempel, our current starter at RT, will be back next year.

Where did Brown play before Loos got hurt?

Loos should be cleared for summer ball.

Krempel became full-time at RT after Loos got hurt and Brown moved to LT. Prior to that, he split time with Brown at RT. If Loos comes back healthy, Brown should move back to RT and platoon with Krempel unless one of them stands out in spring ball or fall camp.

Ya I would expect Loos to be back 100% for summer ball.

Does it make sense to move him to Defensive Tackle?

With Loos, Battaglia and Husain we should be deep enough at OL that we can move the OLinemen with the best DL potential for 2013 to the other side.

My guess is that Battaglia is that guy because...IIRC he was practicing on the Dline in the 2011 preseason before Loos got hurt with his ACL.

It could really depend on if we get a JuCo DL.

IMO, Volk will be challenged. Not sure it was that he was coming off injury, he just seems to play high without agility. just my opinion...

I think you guys are way over thinking this. The offensive line shouldn't change very much at all next year. Nothing on offense should (with the exception of WR because it has to).

I don't think the line has to change, but could based on the talent that redshirted this year. I'll always take the guy with experience on the o-line over a newbie, but some of those guys will push the current group... and trying to block Ken Bishop will make them even better.

Hopefully we can leave Bishop on the defensive side of the ball and not line him up on the offense. Seems like we have big enough guys there already now, and I wasn't a fan of it other than it looks nice.

The handful of live practices before the season starts.

IMHO....RB needs an upgrade.

I love Akeem but....he is not a true "run between the tackles and knock someone over RB". He's great in open space and should be and was an integral part of the offense.

Hopkins wasn't as good as Spann, but even he gave us some of that.

The door is wide-open for someone to be "the guy".

What made Turner and Spann special was their YAC. We need a good YAC RB.

+1

I'll be stunned/disappointed if Akeem is the guy when we take the field in Iowa City.

Akeem is a great third down back, open field guy, but we need a traditional running back to take some of the load off of Lynch.

The fact Daniels can create some great mismatches at WR means he should still see plenty of time on the field and a lot of touches. I'd just like to add a traditional runner to the offense that can push the pile.
