If they are going to do something to commemmorate the Orange Bowl appearance, I think it'd be cool.

They play a lot better with the home blacks.

I would bet on the black jerseys.

You'll probably get the black jerseys 3 times, for the home opener, Homecoming, and Ball State, red jerseys for the other 2.

I don't think so. We had red jerseys for the home opener last year...vs an FCS team.

HC no doubt would be black jerseys but don't know about red or black pants though.

No doubt that the Blackout game will be in all blacks.

Also remember that the Adidas pic showed a new helmet with a dark red facemask. I wouldn't be surprised to see these unveiled in the HC or Blackout game.

The chance that Ball St is either our HC or Blackout game is 50% since we know that neither event will be the home opener.

Since we didn't win I would just have an OB/BCS flag or banner up with no additional ceremony over the 2012 MACC championship.

NO! If we had won Yes...but we didn't. I don't think we'll see them on the field again.

Maybe I'm like Rod Carey. I'm a sore loser.

I hope the Orange Bowl unis are "one and done."

Here's a White Jersey/Red Pants combo that looks good:

RE: HUSKIE Fans traveled well
So has anybody heard what our total number of fans was at the OB? We've all made guesses but has any "official" word on NIU fan attendance come out?

I don't think the Orange Bowl unis will be worn again. Would be cool if they auction a few of them off. I got a new mancave that could use some decorations. Although they'd probably be too much money for my lite pockets.

I don't know how we'd know "official" attendance since so many bought from other sources. I'm guessing of the NIU allotment, there was 13 - 15 K, but probably another 3-4 total on top of that.

Why wouldn't we wear them again? It's not like they had anything orange bowl specific except for the patch.

Build a whole new set like them. Beats wearing uniforms that might as well be ordered out of a catalog by a high school team.

The red over black home version would be McCarron girlfriend level beautiful.

Oh yes. A black and red jersey in that style would be beautiful to see every week.

Too funny. I just said to my son that AJ is living the life - starting QB at Bama, winning another national championship and dating a former Miss Alabama (and not necessarily in that order 03-shhhh)

Anyone get the feeling Musburger is about one step away from self pleasure when talking about his girlfriend, good lord Brent.

Better shell out a few hundred thousand dollars to get some great assistant coaches, if we are serious about traveling to back to back BCS bowl games.
