Anyone else concerned about SK?
In the last 6 games, in which we have lost twice and failed to reach 70 four times, here's SK's ugly stat line:

31-95 FG (32.6%)
11-47 3pt FG (23.4%)

We aren't a great offensive team even when he's on. When he's shooting like that we are going to struggle against nearly everyone. They need to do a better job of getting him open looks and he needs to stop forcing shots. Getting to the FT line more often would also help.

I hope this is just a bad stretch and not a growing trend.

As I said he is a bit overrated. Good shooter (in a slump) but doesn't attack the basketball with much consistency and tries to hard to draw contact rather than to finish the play.

Mick said in the postgame that SK is "too worried about outside stuff". Think we know what that means...

Mick should not start him and/or cut his playing time until he gets the outside stuff out of his head. He's not helping the team and giving 100% right now.

the more he worries about the nba the more he's NOT going to get drafted...he needs to get his head out of his arse.

he was 0-5 3pt today...one of those falls, we win.

Really? We think Sean Kilpatrick is too focused on the NBA to make shots? Is that what we're saying? Wow.

As you enter conference play, teams get better defensively and you stop having a huge advantage in overall talent. Individual defenders are typically better and I'm guessing Kilpatrick is either the first or second option opponents want to take away from UC offensively.

if he's concerned about the national business league he needs to check his ego

SK is overrated. he's a 6 foot chucker "combo" "scoring" guard.......which translates to im a chucker and cant play the point.

RE: Anyone else concerned about SK?
Mick is wise to what's going on with him. Sounds like he's started to believe some of his own press a bit too much and is thinking too far ahead instead of next game. Mick explained it very well. Said the more he's thinking about his future the more he's pressing when he misses shots. It makes perfect sense. Mick wants him focused on the next shot and the game and not what's down the road, that way he won't press when he hits a skid. SK is a good kid and we all know about his work ethic. He's just got to get his head right and I'm confident mick will sort him out.
Hugely disappointing result today and the fact we got out played and out hustled in our gym in a game we should win, is very discouraging. But no time to sit and stew, bigger game in 48 hrs.

RE: Anyone else concerned about SK?
BS...I doubt SK is not playing well because his is focused too much on the NBA. Frankly, I wonder about Cronin even alluding to such a thing. Coach Cronin came off in his postgame sounding very much like the fault all his players not listening to him. Personally, I think Cronin's substitutions are part of the problem. Why is Sanders even playing?

RE: Anyone else concerned about SK?
Why does everyone jump to the conclusion the Sean is worried about the NBA? Perhaps he has other worries in his life that are playing a part, not the NBA. I would not be surprised that he might have some family problems, or girl friend problems, or children problems or whatever. Not necessarily worrying about big money. C'mon man, every college kid has problems.

RE: Anyone else concerned about SK?
I think the only people concerned with SK are the ones that thought he was the kind of player that can carry a whole team. We don't have any players like that. SK is a shooter in a slump.

Shoot because you're hot or shoot to get hot. He's the best shooter we have and he is definitely not the problem.

Also, were Cronin's exact words "outside stuff", because I would take that too mean that he's focusing on 3's instead of driving the ball.

Fellas. I was only relaying information. Can't remember what Cronin's exact words were. But I have a semi-functioning brain, and it was very clear that Mick feels like SK is thinking about life after college. One verbatim quote was "Sean needs to worry about being the best COLLEGE player he can be". Take it for what it's worth, but that's what the man said.

He also mentioned a few times in his post game presser that no one on this team is going to get drafted in the first round of the NBA draft...

Several shots the past couple games have been off balance and rushed. Doesn't help that a lot of them are contested too.
