I would take that bet, if you're offering. If he is the go to guy on UT as everyone says he is here, he should get the touches necessary in the SEC to be one of the best in the league. That doesn't get you drafted in the second round.

If you believe the predictions Adonis, before the season, was on most draft boards in the first round. I think we can agree that may have been premature.

A 6'8" power forward can do that in college. But it's very rare for one to do that in the NBA.

He may be successful in the NBA he may not. Odds are against him.

In the NBA 6'11" small forwards are common. I wish him well.

Stokes needs some shooters around him...

Since he won't\can't make quick scoring moves he needs some shooters on the floor to keep the defense honest.

My only concern is that even though UT is not that good. They could still finish in the top half of a weak SEC and be in consideration of a bid.

Stokes just wouldnot be my choice period. He is a wide body thats a liability on defense. Adonis made three easy plays on him. Give me a athletic post player that can man the middle with tenacity, blocks shots, rebound and defend 2 defenders at a time.. yeah I know you would think at 6'8 270 he would be able to do some of those things like a Joey Dorsey.

I just don't think Stokes add that much to this team...He is a offensively less efficient but higher rebounding Tarik...But that is just me. We need a stretch four...Robert Dozier type of player and that would be a huge add...

Thought Hall would improve and be that but he seems to have regressed.

Being in the top half of the SEC doesn't put a team in the dance.

The SEC will get 4 teams in most likely (with a variance of 1 either way, maybe 3 maybe 5). That leaves 2-4 teams in the "top half" of the SEC in the NIT.

Given his lack of experience, or lack of, and the players he has around him, he has been playing great. I don't think that is open to dispute.
