Yep.

I think Pastner is a very solid HC and it has been strange to me to observe the Memphis people hyperventilating about him after every L.
But I have to admit, even after all this time he still looks younger than his players.

Thanks Georgian, he's still gaining experience and has some lessons to learn along the way. Nothing that some additional seasoning can't cure.

oldtiger, I'll have to disagree with you on Pastner. I really believe you could have done much better than him. Congrats, though, on a win over your instate rival, always sweet.

Thanks nastybuch. Beating UT in anything, especially in Knoxville on ESPN is sweet.

Tarik Black didn't play tonight, either. He's our best big.

Memphis and UT are negotiating , apparently. I'm tired of them. The football stunt in 04 was a joke. They cancelled a football game @ Memphis (when Memphis happened to have guys like DeAngelo Williams). Cowards. Buttchug U can play elsewhere.

I hope not, we still need to even up the series by whipping their keysters.

How much notice did they give before backing out?

Ummmm, not much, the spring before I believe. They knew what Memphis had coming back (Williams, Wimprine, Avery, et all) and that Memphis would likely win that matchup. UT was down that season.

That's incredible if Tennessee announced in the spring the cancellation a football game scheduled for that same year.

Memphis played really well tonight. Definitely the best team in the league.

There really isn't anything likeable about UT-Knoxville.

You might want to have a discussion with your AD. He has a different opinion.

He admitted tonight screwing up that situation. He had originally agreed to end the series but began talks again when the Big East started getting weird.

And it will only take them 14 years to make the canceled game up

Don't forget Leonard Hamilton. No one wanted to follow Calipari after that 137-14 run.

Partially true. We turned Drew down. Geoff Calkins wrote nasty column about him.

Never known the word "saint" to be associated with Tim Floyd. But, he is a darn good basketball coach.

Not sure about Drew or Floyd. But I think Hamilton would've been a disaster.
