CUSA 2013
So does anybody have a clue what the cusa will look like next year (football). Which teams are competing next year? Will they have an east/west format or will that come in 2014 when the rest of the teams get here?

RE: CUSA 2013
As of Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 3:03pm Central Time (could change before I'm done typing), it's:

EAST

UAB
Marshall
Southern Miss
FIU
ECU
La Tech in East?

WEST

Rice
Tulsa
UTEP
North Texas
UTSA
Tulane

If MT/FAU can break free of the Belt and wants to come in during 2013, I could see CUSA allowing Tulane and ECU leave (although with that cluster they may want to stay put here for one more year).

RE: CUSA 2013
"A couple of conference gatherings, the Sun Belt and Conference USA, will be in South Florida soon. Look for this possibility: FAU and Middle Tennessee making the jump from The Belt to C-USA this coming academic year with FIU and North Texas instead of 2014. Apparently, there's been tension between those schools and The Belt."

I' m working on a scenario where a junior college in Idaho and Georgia's JV team join CUSA.

And here I thought that was a new emoticon for ECU and Tulane for, "Don't let the door hit you on the way out..."

RE: CUSA 2013
I can't help but feel that someone is going to take a run at Tulsa before too long (Big 12 or Mountain West)...Southern Miss was in damn good shape for an invite from somebody before Ellis Johnson ruined the football program's image and mystique.
