Orange Bowl uniforms
I did not like them. The jerseys were okay, but can the red pants.

The silver numbers on the white jerseys reminded me of what Michigan did in an earlier game when they wore yellow numbers on white jerseys. It made it very hard to read the number on TV.

RE: Orange Bowl uniforms
I was thinking the same. I tried to like them, I really did, but the red pants did it in for me. Plus we lost in them. They are cursed and should be destroyed.

End.

I think black pants would have looked better with the white jersey. With the loss I don't know if we will ever wear those jerseys again.

No way we toss those out.

+1 on trying the new jerseys with black pants.

Agreed, I think black pants would have made them much better. I'm so glad they didn't bleep with the helmets.

Looked great live and on TV. Zero readability issue on TV.

The number font needs fine tuning to better match the logo and I'd also prefer black pants.

But overall it's a great, minimalist design and foundation for a new set.

After watchin a rerun of the game on tv,
I thought the best uniform was on DD's kid.
He was wearin a NIU hat. I had to laugh and
thought that DD would be getting text msg's
from NC State to ask him to take the hat off
his kid. I mean, they are paying him how many
million....it was cute though and made me chuckle.

Change the numerals to black and put a black stripe on the pants.

Yes. I think that would look good. I didn't hate the red pants quite as much. Not liking the gray/silver numbers at all.

NC State is not paying DD's kid anything. He can wear what he wants. I think DD found a loophole.

Personally, I would have preferred our traditional uniforms. That said, I think we needed to have a red helmet with a large silver NIU logo to bring the uniform together.

Helmet matches the pants. It's a rule. Do that and you rarely go wrong.

Is that like the carpet matching the drapes?

After watching some of the game on TV last night, I concur with most of you. The red pants just don't work. Ditch those in favor of black ones and it would be fine.

I still think if we wanted to do an alt kit silver pants would work. Match the numbers and have a little fun, but the red pants look like pajama bottoms.

I don't like carpeting. If I see carpeting, I try to have it removed.

If we have black pants, then we need red numerals. Guess what? We're back to our traditional road uniforms.

I also vote for never wearing those particular pants again outside of practice use.
Many on here will think I'm crazy, but I attribute part of the loss to those red pants. We should have kept the black pants so that we not only looked more like this year's Huskies, they would have played more like this year's Huskies. IMO, the black pants-white jerseys-black helmets that we traditionally wear for road games looks more menacing and would have been a better contrast.
