[Archived Thread] Monarchs Playing Pro Ball
Ricardo Marsh headed back to Turkey this weekend. He has had a terrific run since his playing days in Norfolk.

Keyon Carter has a broken ankle.

Please post your knowledge of former MOnarchs playing pro ball.

Chris Cooper is playing in the NBA D League in Bakersfield. Frank Hassell is playing in Israel, after having been signed by the San Antonio Spurs, but released the day before the season began last year, then spending last season in the NBA D League.

Tia Lewis is playing in Israel.

Alex Loughton is actually playing for the Cairns Taipans which is on the east coast of Australia. His hometown of Perth is on the west coast. He has actually had a really good career overseas.

I was hoping to see him get drafted late today, but I am glad that he is getting his opportunity with the Seahawks.

I needed a reason to like the Seahawks. This will suffice.

SAM MARTIN a punter for APPALACHIAN ST was drafted in the 5th. For the last couple years I believed that Jonathan Plisco would be our first player drafted. Guess him not having to punt a lot this pass year hurt him.

I opened the Seattle-PI while sitting on the can this morning (dropping off the kids at the pool), and I see an ODU helmet. First I'm thinking, Is this pilotonline? But, no. it was the Seattle-PI.

BTW, I live in Seattle.

We're planting the seeds of our young program into the NFL!

RE: Monarchs Playing Pro Ball
I hit Google looking for any news on Jonathon Plisco and didn't find anything. Has anyone heard anything on him getting a tryout with any NFL team. I cannot believe there is not a team out there somewhere that would at least invite him to camp. For goodness sakes, he averaged 45 yards per punt over his career at ODU. I hope he gets a chance somewhere.

I don't know about other teams but this is the Raiders backup punter from last season Marquette King. He runs like a free safety and has a 5.5 hang time and can fly it 80 yards. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJoyqdouNxg

that guys got quite the leg!

back on track - I think someone will bring Pilsco on before the training camp starts. if for nothing else to give an incumbant some competition. its rare that punters get drafted anyway.
