He took some more first team reps this week. Probably not slated to play this week unless game situation, injuries, etc. warrant it. We are guessing he is most likely to get playing time the last game against Colts. That is the game I am going to.

I'm a Steelers fan, but with this game probably out of reach, I want to see him play well.

RE: Monarchs Playing Pro Ball
If I were Taylor I would begin thinking about a less violent line of work. This is at least the 2nd concussion he has reportedly had this year. While I would love to see him play significant minutes for an NFL team, and I know the money is great, I would hate to see him have major health issues or become like a punch drunk fighter by the time he is in his 40's from getting numerous concussions while in his 20's and 30's. We don't even know if he had gotten any while in high school either.

I believe he got his engineering degree, and I feel like he would be a good assistant coach at ODU if he could work his way in there. He would probably be a good QB coach, or even a good offensive coordinator with his being around 3 NFL teams as a QB and learning each of their offenses. He's got a good head on his shoulders and I just don't want to see him lose it.

Last reported he has a semester and project/ internship shy of graduation. I'm sure he has had no time for schooling over that last 3 years.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like it is something that he can finish up fairly easily when the time comes, and probably will. I wish him the best in whatever he ends up doing.

Heck, have Taylor come back when the season is over and design the stadium that we need for a final engineering project. Maybe some big corporate sponsor will open their wallet when They find out that he’s around too.

Note: most of this is sarcasm, but I do know he’d put a better idea up than what we’ve been fed.

I’m sure he could work for ODAF raising donations - and help our quarterbacks coach. I bet you’ll see him back after his NFL days are done. He is a class act through and through.

Cal, do you have any update on Taylor's condition and his chances of being cleared for the Colts game?

He did not have a concussion and was pissed they took away his pads and helmet. He has passed protocol and is likely to practice today. Don't know if he will play on Sunday in Indy and it will suck if I go there to 12 degree weather and he doesn't play. Should know more tomorrow. O'Brien praised his poise and play in his weekly interview on the Houston Texans website.

Please keep us updated. I'm thinking about making the trip to Indy for the game, as well.
Thanks.

That was great news to hear that Taylor did not suffer what would be at least his second concussion this year. I hope that he is doing well and will get to see some action in the upcoming game against the Colts.
