Bad, bad hire by the North Texas AD.

way to much talent to be performing this badly...but i wouldn't count of the team getting it together. the benford hasn't shown he can coach or get the team together. he looks lost on the bench and the players look lost on the floor...and yes...bad, bad hire by the AD

I was thinking there were a couple of top-notch assistants on the UNT bench.

Any way to get rid of the HC in mid-season and let those guys take over ?

Would not surprise me in the least to see the Green win in Hot Springs, however.

too expensive to fire him now...first year of a 5 (i believe) year contract...but the damage that he is doing is going to hurt...wish the university would get rid of him or reassign him...i believe it would be worth it in the long run...

it would surprise me if the team won a game in hot springs...

We fired our old coach a year after giving him a 5 year contract extension. I didn't think we had the money either, but we came up with it from somewhere. I'm sure you guys could make it work if you really wanted to.

many of us are hoping this happens...

of course, we now just found out that our leading assist guy and starting point guard is out with a broken foot...the sucky just got suckier...

We're playing mostly freshman and a big man who transferred into a system I don't really think he's suited for. But I digress... we suck.

I'm part of the new head coach camp, btw. I respect what he's done for the program but it's time for a fresh hungry coach. Mainly someone who can recruit. I'm kind of tired of reading that we beat out Radford for a recruit.

Yea CUSA needs you guys next year more than ever. Also, let's hope UTEP squad is as good as those rivals rankings all their fans keep posting.

If we can keep White, I think Tech will shock a few schools next year. We only lose two Seniors, and our stars will be Juniors and Sophomores. IF we can keep him, I think he can bring us back to the glory days of the 80's when our men's basketball team were better known as the Dunkin' Dawgs.

On a side note, if any of you get a chance to see NMSU on the TV ...watch, if not for one thing. They have Sim Bullar, a 7'5" 360lb Freshman who we played against on Monday. I swear, it was like watching Andre the Giant play basketball. The man is one of the largest people I've ever seen play. Granted he's slow, but when he was on the court, we looked tiny. When he was on the bench, we looked like a normal basketball team.

Sounds like the football coach we just fired after 1 season and less than a year. Sucks.

and i would be fine with the school selling out some basketball games or a football game to makeup for the crap salary that the school will have to eat to get rid of the guy...

i thought that was a smart move by you guys...

We start two seniors, one junior, and two sophomores. Our bench consist of one junio, three sophomores, and three freshmen. Our recruiting class for next year has been rated anywhere from 9-21 nationally. We have some good wins this year and we have played 21st most difficult schedule so far. If the team keeps progressing the rest of the year, they way they have the past month we will finish the year in at least the NIT and start next year close to the top 25.

Not too sure about that honestly. I think it may take a little while to repair our program. It's bad.

Probably won't get too many optimists from ODU fans with the current situation. =]
