Sun Life Stadium - cab question
Did any of you take a taxi to the game? If so how hard was it to get one after the game? For those that parked, how was it getting out of the stadium lot?

I'll be in South Beach and trying to decide if we should drive the rental car or take a cab. Thanks for any advice and congrats on the great season!

They had taxis lines up after the game on the streets surrounding the parking lots. Not at the gates, but the streets external of the stadium, every entrance. We got one right away, was pretty easy.

FYI
Someone at tailgating said that a taxi from FTL to South Beach runs about $80 each way.

I took public transportation from the FLL airport to the stadium. It cost $3.75 and took about 1.5 hr travel time. I suggest that you google the directions and click the public transit route to see if it could work going to the game. I would not use it after the game.

It was right around 1 when they started letting cars in.
Make sure to bring some toilet paper with you. Five portapotties around our tailgating vicinity, and zero rolls of TP. Girls didn't like that one too much.

Driving wasn't an issue at all. Easy stadium to get to and I didn't encounter any traffic. From downtown, I took 95 to the Palmetto Expressway (826E) and turned on 27th ave. Quicker driver than I thought it would be.

I took a cab to the game and back from Ft Lauderdale. It was extremenly easy to catch one after. If you go by the exit near the Dan Marino statue there will be a line of them waiting after the game. There were also oversized party buses waiting in the cab area and while waiting in the cab line we decided to go in with a couple former NIU players and a few FSU fans into one of those for $20 a person to get back to Ft. Lauderdale. They were also running them back to Miami for $10 a person. It was a lot of fun as we were drinking on the bus and talking football with the FSU fans who ended up being super chill and had a lot of respect for our team and football in general.

Just find Dan Marino after the game and you will be set getting out of there.

RE: Sun Life Stadium - cab question
Took the Embassy Suites van..driver got us in and out in seconds via the alley behind Wal-Mart. Was happy to get out quickly by the end of the game.

I'm not sure what route we took, but I'm awfully glad the van didn't break down in some of the neighborhoods we went through...

Yea...we were told they do not supply T-paper in any of the the port a johns as people steal it. So you might want to spread the word about that to any of your friends.
We were parked right inside Lot 10 up near the entrance on the right as you come in. Was pretty easy to get out after the game as we just had right turns to make.
