Guard situation
I agree that Osse has earned more minutes, but it will be at point, not at the 2. He shoots only 30.8% from the arc, but his A/TO is 2.16 - the best on the team.

What that will allow us to do is to play Gillon more at the 2. He is a good shooter, both from the arc and the line (Solo II), but he just is not a good point guard. His A/TO is 0.88, which is not great for any guard, but just atrocious for a point.

But do not expect Ben Dillard to disappear. He is out best 3-point shooter at the moment at 40.7%, and that goes back to last year, also. He has a track record. Maybe he can't create his own shot, but he does a lot of other things right.

RE: Guard situation
You make some good points. I think Osse will be valuable, both as a point guard and a two guard, and I think he can create his own shot. And I believe Osse is as good, if not better three point shooter than Dillard, although the stats don't reflect it yet. He has a beautiful release with great rotation on his shot, and as he plays more and gains confidence, those shots will begin to fall.
Dillard is a good solid player who knows the game. A coaches son. But there's only one ball to go around, and we have a lot of players wanting that ball. Keeping everyone happy is the problem our coaches face, and that's hard with young kids because they all think they should be playing. That's why I believe we'll lose a player or two next year, because players don't like sitting on the bench. Dillard has a slight advantage in that he played quite a bit last year and is accustomed to the speed of the game. And I agree that Gillon is more suited to the two guard spot, but he'll improve at the point as the season progresses, and he has the ability to score, which is a valuable commodity, although he was way off last game. 1-6 from the floor as I recall. But he'll bounce back.

He fits the term "combo guard" very well, and those are always valuable to have around. Gillon, of course, also is one of those. I still think we need another true point.
