Guys, for those who actually watched the OB and saw the score and the close battle for most of the game, we know what went down. We are NIU, the haters and the ESPN devils will never, never give us credit. Had a lot of FSU fans on the ropes tonight, and they told us at the game. Young O line, dropped passes, and some questionable playing calling (bad calls as well) took the air out of us.
Very proud, losses bother me, this one did not. Very proud of students, fans, and old teammates showing up like we did. Just awesome. Let the haters and uneducated hate. It is what it is.
Enjoy the downtime, let this team work and let them grow. We will all be ready to go to Iowa to beat Iowa, it will be here soon.
Travel safe, I am truly honored to be apart of something so special. Nothing comes easy, our day is coming, and it will be more special than the OB.
BEAT IOWA, I want them more than anything, BEAT IOWA
FSU played awesome but for one fumble tonight. If they don't, I believe, it would have been a different outcome tonight We got the best of FSU and they got the worst of j lynch. Lynch was bad even on plays, he easily could have made.

NIU played great on Defense and has nothing to be ashamed of. However, that was not FSU's best game of the year. Offense should grade out to a B-, C+. Couldn't convert third downs and missed lots of open receivers.
Special teams was bad as well with missed FG, allowed onside and fake punt and 0 return yards.
I think you got the best of FSU's D, but average and uninspired Offense from FSU.

Well said. We just saw NIU, and a great NIU crowd, at the Orange Bowl. That's still brain melting. The people framing and peddling conventional wisdom are working on burying us I'm sure, but we saw our defense fight like hell, we know there was a chance to change the game in the third.
And I'm confident everyone in the program will be working their asses off to get another shot.
Like the song says, "It's more than true, it actually happened"
Unlike many FSU pundits predicted JOrdan Lynch was not concussed.
Best news for NIU FB is he is healthy and ready for next year.
A win against Iowa in Iowa will be a first.
A third straight MAC title will be another first.
Extending NIU's longest home winning streaks and divisional streaks will be an incredible and possible accomplishment.
Congratulations on FSU winning a clean game without concussing the QB.

You certainly do not lack pride.
Have you ever know the future of NIU FB to be brighter?
Fourth Q. was a letdown but its time to move on and give credit to FSU
for doing what no-one since Iowa has done.
If you had told me NIU would be down one score going into the fourth quarter, I'd have taken it. It's just too bad the offense was so bad, especially in the first half.
I have no problem saying FSU was better (Duh), the problem was NIU just didn't make plays that were there (not that there were many) on offense. Lynch will have some powerful motivation going into next year, and yeah, I expect the team to be good enough to return, no doubt.
And I don't blame the officials at all. They missed a few calls (some were borderline, of course) for both teams. It happens. NIU lost the game. It's okay.

I blame the officials for what looked like a couple of egregious calls that made it that much more difficult for us to win. We had no margin for error. Though we made additional mistakes that doomed us, like a bunch of dropped passes. Just cannot do that against a decent team, and certainly not against FSU.
I had no issues wearing an NIU polo and hat today. Obviously wasn't the outcome we wanted but I'm proud of the team and all that they accomplished on the field, in the classroom and in the community
