OT: this may not be in our conference but it is interesting
I was informed that the Gov. of Pa. is going to sue the NCAA over the sanctions put on Penn State. I think it is a fool's errand but we will see. I would think he would just want to let it die not rehash it.

If I was him I wouldn't be doing this. Lets give him the benefit of the doubt and say he feels the wrong people are being punished, he is still going to bring back into the limelight that underage boys were raped on the campus of one of the states universities and that employees of that university had knowledge. Players were allowed to transfer without penalty so if they stayed they did so because that is where they wanted to be and they knew they would be in a program with sanctions.

If the worst thing that happens to Penn State because of this unfortunate (to say the least) act by a few employees is that their athletic department faces a few sanctions, they should consider themselves lucky and move on. If he feels it a just cause to stand up for the University's athletic department, I wonder what he has done in support of the victims of such a despicable act. There were people wronged in this ordeal and the PSU athletic department is WAY down the list, if on it at all.

I don't understand why this school/state keeps trying to bring attention to this matter.

Its whats wrong with ppl these days......its the "my child does nothing wrong" syndrome. They got caught & dont want to accept responsiblity for what happened nor take the punishment.

I've read that the issue is that the 60mil that Penn State pays in penalties is being used for a program to help children/adults of abuse like this, but the NCAA is using that money for a national program. The governor wants all 60 mil to be spent in PA.

Penn Staters seem like the kind of fans that could be convinced that paying to play in what's left of the Big East is a good idea.

How about putting a meaningful subject line next time so we don't waste our time reading a post that A) we've already read and B) don't care about.

From what I've read the school has nothing to do with this lawsuit. IMO, the state should just move on like the school apparently has.

Again, it appears to be more about keeping the money in PA and not trying to reverse anything.

A broad ruling against the NCAA's power could have far reaching consequences.
