MyBB Georgia Southern
Georgia Southern comes into Wednesday night's game, at The Bart, with a record of 6-7. They are ranked 280th by Ken Pomeroy. UAB is ranked 144th.

KenPom.com has UAB winning this game 73-61, with UAB's probability of victory at 88%.

They have one huge road victory as they beat 125th ranked Virginia Tech 78-73 on December 15th. Tech has lost 4 of their last 6 games.

On the flip side, Georgia Southern has lost to 310th ranked Samford (57-48) on the road.

They have won 4 of their last 6 games.

Their go-to-player is Eric Ferguson (6-7 210). He has 66 made field goals, that includes seven 3-pointers. He goes to the free throw line a lot, but is only a 66% FT shooter.

They have three 3-point shooters: Reed 6-3 200, Roberts 6-5 175, and Bussey 6-2 185. Reed and Roberts lead the way at 44% and 42% respectively.

Baskerville (6-7 226) is their best free throw shooter at 16-17 (0.941). Nobody else shoots above 75%, although they do have a seldom used player who is 2-2.

Georgia Southern plays in the Southern Conference. They play their home games at Hanner Fieldhouse, which has a seating capacity of 4,358 (260th largest in D-1).

UAB Notes: Swing leads the way with 31 made 3-pointers. There is a three-way tie for second place, as Williams, TJ, and Purifoy have 14 each.

Rucker has made 74 2-pointers, while Alihodzic has 48, Williams has 34, and Swing has 33.

RE: Georgia Southern
a 3 puts GaSo up 9-8, which leads into the media timeout...
T Jones shooting 2 when we come back

the offense is getting out fast and finding the layups...all 8 of our points have been "in the paint"

Blazers trail 16-15

forcing turnovers, but not scoring.

Halftime, Blazers lead 25-22
cant shoot

10 made shots, 9 of them "in the paint"
add 5 FT's, leaving a mere 2 points on shots outside the lane
0-6 from 3point land

at least the 10 made shots came on 8 assists

UAB 25-22 at the half. Shooting 37%. 0-6 from three point range

Terence Jones has 7 points. Rucker and Alihodzic has 6.

Can't wait to find out how bad the officiating is from AttallaBlaze.

CUSA is shining tonight.

We are struggling with Ga. Southern.
ECU has "come back strong" and now leads Campbell by 2.
Marshall in a dog fight with Delaware State.

It was great officiating: they let Rucker inbound the ball to himself.

RE: Georgia Southern
Purifoy pretty much is the bench. Hoopy doesn't seem to there yet, either health-wise or experience. QT is shooting 28% from the field and 15% from 3pt line. Scottie is Scottie.

Some bad shooting but loved the hustle. Twelve steals and 23 turnovers for GSU. The offensive rebound and put-back by Rucker on Swing's miss late was pure toughness.

Go Blazers, Beat the Flyers
