Holy Cross, yay or nay ?
Pros

- A Catholic school.
- Close to Boston and most of the expansion candidates are midwestern schools and they are a northeastern school so they would help even things out if you are planning on going with eastern and western divisions
- Basketball tradition

Cons

-Doesnt have a decent arena. On campus gym is too small and the DCU Center is aging and outdated.
- Currently has a small basketball budget playing in the Patriot League. Would have to increase it and dont know if they are willing to.

Nay because of this, unless they are willing to fully invest in at least their mens bball program.

Nay. Holy Cross opted out of big-time athletics a long, long time ago. Small enrollment, small athletic budget.

We're looking at an elite basketball conference, not a Catholic League.

There's also the small problem of the primary targets just saying no if schools of the sort were included.

Holy Cross would make a lot sense if candidates were more limited. They could eventually add a great deal to the league, but it would be years down the line. They're too far behind talent, facility, and support wise currently. When you have the likes of Butler, Creighton, Detroit, Duquesne, St. Bonaventure, St. Louis, St. Joe's, Richmond, VCU, Xavier etc. clamoring to be in this new conference Holy Cross doesn't make too much sense beyond being mentioned.

Its about 30 years too late for them. They seem very content being in the patriot league. which is what college sports use to be

Nay.

Like others have said, far too many available and better options out there.

no way. I do not even think they would be interested. They made it clear 30 years ago that they are not interested in big time sports and they have done nothing since that time to make anyone think differently.

Unfortunately No. The C7 is trying to maximize the dollars they can make in a world where football brings in the money. They need to get the best options at this time.

Nay. Too many well qualified candidates ahead of them.
