While I'm still not happy about Boise going back to the MWC, there are some things that I'm happy about.
The league will guarantee the rights to Boise State home football games that are sold as a separate package. The revenue from such Boise State home football games shall be retained by the Mountain West and added to the Mountain West media revenues to be disbursed in the same manner as all other league media revenues.
I'm glad that Boise is not going to receive unequal revenue sharing. Even though their home games will be packaged and sold separately, any revenue from the package deal will be distributed amongst the teams equally. The only benefit to Boise is television exposure, but revenue will be equal with all the others, which is good!
Boise State and other football teams in the Mountain West who appear on national television (ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox) will be paid a bonus of $300,000 per game, with an additional $200,000 for a Saturday game.
This is interesting. It applies to all the teams, though initially I do think that Boise will benefit more.
Still, with everything that has come out, I'm still sick that we are not going to the BE!!!

Thats may be fine and dandy for the front range schools but that still not equal.

On the money side of the TV deal it's equal. Yes, Boise will receive greater exposure initially, but that's not guaranteed year over year. Either way, I'm still not happy with the fact that we choose to go back. For me the only thing worth not going to the BE was an invite to the PAC.

Dude, read between the lines....Boise St is the one who is going to be on TV, this was just a way to try and hide the fact that Boise St was going to get more TV revenue than any of the other schools. This is the entire reason their homes games are being sold as a different package, basically that money will be going straight back to Boise St...Some people are so naive. It will go into the MWC coffers but then will be turned over to a Boise St in the bonus structure for nationally televised games.

Yea, it's a joke. Sell Boise's game to Espn, teams on espn receive a bonus, boise receives a bonus. It's a straight damn line

There was a chance..all we had to do was bend over like the MWC did, apparently the Big East still has some self-respect after all the mess that has gone on. Honestly, does not bother me in the least....We all knew a nationwide conference would have never worked, too many obstacles and agendas to overcome.
