Wrong, the new BE will live on with the best of the best non BCS conf in the eastern half of the country which is all any off us not in the Big 5 can ask for. Joke all you want but USM, UNCC, Marshall, UAB etc will be scrambling to try to get their seat at the table too even now with the reminents. This is likely nearly the end game for the next few decades. You get left behind now and it could be for good especially for a school like USM and Marshall.

The Big East has been in the process of burning to the ground for years. Tulane's addition was just an excuse by the Catholic 7 to hit the road (something they have been planning to do for a while).

I equate people blaming the Big East death on Tulane as the same who listen to ultra conservative talk radio and immediately hop out of their cars with pitch forks to fend off the impending doom of tomorrow.

We knew the big lots conference was dying even before anyone from cusa was invited. All those dollars didn't materialize like we said it wouldn't but still people kept jumping off the cliff. Sort of like when those natives in Okinawa were jumping off the cliff because they thought the Americans were going torture them. Anyone who still believes Aresco deserve what they get.
