Bearcat Basketball-Bengals Playoff Conflict
UC-St. Johh's 4pm
Bengals-Texas 4:30

With the three UC football game conflicts to end the season, plus those Sunday games early in the year somebody doesn't want to our basketball attendance to very high this season.

I wish UC had the power to move the tip time for this game. I'll be there anyway but it would be nice to have a packed house.

Bearcat basketball has had some awful conflicts with football so far this year. Belk Bowl overlapped with UC game. UC/Iowa State overlapped with UC/USF football. Now UC/St Johns overlaps with a Bengals playoff game. Weak stuff. Sounds like I'll find a bar that can show both.

Haha, yes. The local sports bar knows their neighborhood Cincy fan. Fortunately, I tip well, and they'll show both.

I'll root for the Bengals but with their relatively anemic offense I don't expect them to give Houston too much trouble. I'll mainly be watching UC basketball and checking in on the Bengals.

This isn't a conflict, more of a nuisance. Los Angeles...please take this nuisance off our hands.

Agreed--could care less about watching Mike Brown's franchise lose yet another one of their rare postseason appearances. Go 'Cats!

2012 Valuation of Brown Family Bengals: $871M
1998 Valuation of Brown Family Bengals: $290M (First Year Forbes started tracking Sports Franchises and 2 years after the voters were duped/lied to about the worst public/private lease in pro sports).

2013: $18M-$30M in additional Taxes to be legislated in order to continue line the pockets of Brown Family Bengals on the backs of families owning property in Hamilton County w/o vote or proper representation.

Zero conflict! Go Bearcats!!

Don't worry...the city will be saved by the trolley car. That much-demanded route between Over the Rhine and Clifton! Perhaps we can gift Bob Bedinghaus a free daily ride in recognition of his outstanding negotiation with the Bengals on the stadium deal. Shoot, forgot he's already got a Bengals-embossed parking spot as part of his position with Bengals. The trolley's not scheduled to get down that way anyway.

Just to be clear, I don't care whether or not you are a Bengals fan, but I don't understand the point of this post. Is the increased value of the Bengals a good or bad thing and does it apply just to the Bengals or to every NFL team or even every professional sports team (and why?)

Also please refresh me on what the voters were specifically duped/lied to about and who did the duping/lying?

I don't understand the point of this entire thread. Anyone ever hear of a DVR?

The point the OP is trying to make is the attendance at the basketball game is going to suffer because people will rather stay home to watch a play off game rather than 1 of 18 Big East games.

Well, just record the Bengal road game and go to the UC game. Problem solved. Really doubt if there's that much crossover between Bengal fans and UC basketball fans to make much of a difference in attendance.

I wish I could watch recorded sports, but it just doesn't do anything for me.

Not much crossover, which NFL team do you think Bearcats fans watch?

We will be using all four of our tickets for the basketball this weekend but I bet a lot of fans will stay home and watch the Bengals. If you are a fan of both teams I wouldn't blame you for watching a post season game versus a conference game. I just wish they would move the game to earlier time so our fans can attend and watch both.

Not sure where the conflict lies. Bearcats over the Bungles 6 days a week and twice on Sunday.

The voters were not lied to, they just did not make an intelligent voting decision. They did not know what they were building, how much it was going to cost, or how it was going to be paid for, but they did not seem to care about the small details and wanted to keep the Benglas here so they didn't care.
