Still no road wins for our men's team
We traditionally get off to a slow start in nearly every game, especially road games. I don't know what the answer is, and obviously Steve doesn't either, and I'm sure it must be very frustrating for him. It's tough to win on the road, and even tougher when you have to play from behind. Maybe tonight it was the cold arena that was the problem. I heard Phil Elson mention how cold it was for the ladies game, and although I didn't get to hear the men's game since I was out for the evening, I gather Ray was complaining about the lack of heat also. Whatever. We're home next week. Hopefully that will solve some of our problems.04-cheers

You can bet your sweet ass that he was complaining about something.

Tough to win on the road with freshmen.

Not sure how you can blame a slow start when we were ahead at halftime.

We would have been aheader more at half without a slow start.

It frustrates me, too. It often seems like we must take a nap before the game, and wake up just before time to start. Maybe we need to change our pre-game routine (seriously).

My guess would be our slow start probably comes from us running set plays that the other team defense are prepared to defend. I haven't seen the team play team play live in awhile but I remember we would always start the games trying to get the ball to the paint and have to shoot a prayer or turn the ball over if we couldn't score in the paint.

You've obviously done a good job scouting us!

You're absolutely right. First play goes to Javes in the paint. Every time.

That should be the last place a pass should go.
