Other Bowl games
Whoever came up with this Pinstripe Bowl...moronic. Nothing like playing in New York in December to get the crowds out to the old ball yard.

All they care about is that people like you are watching.

Watched Texas Tech's defense last night against Minnesota and UCLA's offense against Baylor on thursday to get some sense of what we might be doing next year. Neither unit exactly set the World on fire.

Really enjoying the Pinstripe Bowl. Glad we're not playing there. Due to the weather conditions, this has turned into a defensive battle. Looks like they tried to clear the field a bit during halftime so it'll be interesting to see if that helps the offenses.

the only cool thing about the pinstripe bowl is being in NYC for new years...and that's it

Scanning the WVU boards, I'm glad to see that things haven't changed over there. They are blaming the refs for that loss. No mention of the fact that their team is soft and Syracuse shoved it down their throats today.

I've met some really nice and knowledgeable WVU fans, but the overwhelming majority I've encountered online are hopelessly infected with delusions of grandeur.

WVU really sucked in the B12 this year, and Syracuse's win gives the lie to WVU's preferred narrative that it was all due to the leap up in competition.

Oregon State taking it to Texas 20-10 at the half. Texas is currently #23 (despite having 4 losses). We need them to lose and maybe another so that we can valut up into the top 25.

Haven't really watched Oregon St. much this year. I like the way they play. Hoping for them to pull it out

Well Texas completes the comeback and more than likely will keep us out of the Top 25 as no one on the fringe in front of us has lost.

After finishing 9-5 and getting destroyed by Baylor, UCLA deserves to drop out of the top 25. We need to be rooting against Nebraska, Wisconsin, Kent St., Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Michigan and Louisville. Those teams getting beat will help, getting beat badly will help even more. May not be any way to crack the top 25 in the AP given the amount of votes we have in the last poll but a top 25 in the coaches poll is within reach. Going 10-3 in a BCS conference and finishing outside the top 25 would be a shame.

RE: Other Bowl games
I've never really watched Vandy (other than live at the Liberty Bowl last year) but James Franklin is a complete maniac. Dude makes Brian Kelly look like Tony Dungy. He absolutely reamed a defensive lineman because he was trying to find someone to block after an interception and the DB who was running it back ran into the DL's back and fell down. Like the DL screwed up or something! He berated the sh-- out of him.

ESPN is being extremely careful to not show the seats at the Liberty Bowl. Must not be much of a crowd there this year.

Terrible CUSA just blasted Big 12, Tulsa kicked sand up ISU's ass.

There was some typical, ridiculous comment at the beginning of the game from the announcers when ISU had the ball. Something to the effect of them using their "Big 12 O-line" to overmatch Tulsa's "CUSA front 7." And that while Tulsa has a nice team this year, it's "still a CUSA front 7." Tulsa ended up holding ISU to 98 rushing yards while putting up over 300 yards on the ground themselves.

Because ESPN has so much money invested in the 'bigger' leagues, they will always say that teams from those leagues are better, even if they are not. There is a lot more parity in college football now than ESPN would have you to believe.

That Ed Cunningham guy did the Clemson - LSU game and was awful again. He was talking about Clemson going
for 4th and long, in their own territory in the first half, because if they didn't do that LSU would drive all over
the field on Clemson. Clemson dominated to game.

RE: Other Bowl games
Anybody catch the home cookin by the refs against South Carolina on the measurement for the Wolverines?
The ball was clearly short by a few inches based on the sticks and the refs gave the 1st down to Michigan anyway.
It was so blatantly a wrong call and wasn't reversed.

Karma is a ***** though as Michigan coughed it up on their next possession and on South Carolina's next play the Gamecocks scored a TD.
