New American Athletic Conference AAC
Three all sports divisions of eight.

East - UCONN, UC, Temple, USF, UCF, ECU, Navy, uMass
Mid-Continent - Memphis, SMU, Houston, Tulane, Tulsa, S. Miss, UAB, Northern Ill
West - Boise St., SDSU, Fresno, Nevada, BYU, New Mex, UNLV, AF

Ok mix and max the schools I added or you want to subtract. But look at the coverage for TV. NY City, midwest, south, rockies, southern and northern california.

Football play 7 in your division and two crossovers so your travel is very minimal across the continent. Conference championship is played at highest BCS or computer ranked school or closest bigger venue that can hold 35-40,000. Second highest ranked school is the opponent. Lots of TV sets national interest in BYU against Boise every year or Navy at AF. Obviously it would build over time.

Basketball you play everyone in your division twice and every year you play one game against the other division which gets rotated annually. The basketball conference championship is played in Dallas. Good March weather, easy to get to. OK shoot it down. Lets hear.

Drop the "Mid-Content" portion all together and you have the start of what people on this board desire to see.

Comeon man there are four or five decent football schools in the AAC potential for others. Tell me how many great schools there are in the SEC, BIG, ACC, Big 12. Three or four each and then mediocrity. Its not about how good south miss, uab or Tulsa has with twenty four schools you have plenty of TV sets. That is all any of the networks care about its commercials and sales. By the way I have been a UC fan for 40 years going to the C7 would be idiotic.
