Did you know that Pastner has a better winning percentage in the first three years than HOF coaches like Coach K and Knight?
Do you grasp the significance of winning two conference championships despite being the Super Bowl game of every single opponent in our conference?
Do you comprehend that making the NCAA Tourney two years in a row is an accomplishment not enjoyed by 80% (at least) of NCAA D-1 schools?
Do you understand the magnitude of the mess Pastner inherited?
Can you conceive the terrible scenarios that could have hit our program after Calipari left?
Have you heard about the academic achievements of our team during Pastner's tenure?
Do you see the absence of major off the court problems?
Do you realize that Pastner will be a hot commodity after he wins a few games in the Tourney (which will likely happen in large part -like any team - due to the talent) and will command a much higher salary?
College basketball in all its facets is a results oriented business and the reality is that Pastner has been successful to date by most reasonable standards given the situation when he started and the limitations under which he labors. And his up side is very high.
The best way fans to help achieve the goals we all want to reach is through donations, attendance, and positive reinforcement. Do you agree?
