I know for a fact i'll miss the ECU vs Southern Miss rivalry, I can barely even phantom that game not being played.

I liked playing Tulsa. 3 games were for championships. Can't really call it a rivalry tho. Not sure we had a true rivalry in CUSA. Marshall games were interesting for awhile. Hope Marshall improves and wins a couple championships now that we are gone.

ECU vs USM needs to be an annual battle REGARDLESS of conference affiliation in football...PERIOD. As for Memphis, I'd like to see them still in basketball for sure (not sure Black & Blue will happen often). Both for baseball would be great as well.

The last rival Tulane had was LSU. Tulane never developed anything close to that in CUSA.

Not going to miss any of them but I am looking forward to playing La Tech

Yeah your right Tulane would have had to win several games against and an opponent to get a rivalry going.

We did our part, USM fans AT LEAST equaled Wave fans in many of the games at the Dome, you guys couldn't send 50 fans north.

If you couldn't develop rivals in CUSA, you won't in the BE. Most of the teams you'll playing are former CUSA.

I'll miss everyone. Probably SMU the least. But a Southern Miss schedule without ECU on it? I don't even want to think about it.

I will miss getting to see old Southwest Conference teams Rice and SMU play each year.

Tulsa, Southern Miss, and Marshall. This year's Marshall game was a blast.

Also, I was looking forward to playing LaTech.

You're right about Southern Miss. They certainly have done their part to foster a rivalry with Tulane. For that you earn my respect even more. I will miss the TU-USM rivalry. It crosses all sports.

I'll also miss playing Rice. Our closest peer school in CUSA it just feels like a natural rivalry is between us even though it may not feel quite that way.

Tulsa, and the lack of rivalry there despite the importance of our series, is an example of why these silly "national conferences" are terrible for college football. Biggest downside to the big east IMO / but at least we are getting USF. (Speaking of rivals)

marshall and southern miss for me. its going to be odd not seeing usm on a football/basketball schedule. very odd.

From what I'm reading, I think USM is trying to keep Tulane on the schedule OOC. Oddly enough, I think we've even volunteered playing annually in New Orleans. I like the thinking behind it too. We'll pack that new little stadium every year for at least one game. That could really help Tulane AND USM. USM will get a good payday for a short trip and a probable win.

I'm pretty sure ECU has played USM every year that I've been alive. It's always an important game and a benchmark for our entire season.

Memphis, for three reasons:

1. Loved the Battle for the Bones.

2. The Memphis basketball game is the only game we can pack the house for every year.

3. I liked have the C-USA tournament at the Fed Ex Forum...just not every year.

Playing memphis in basketball always brought the excitement, and it'll be sad to be without that game. But it's understandable; they wanted to renew their annual in-conference rivalry with Louisville and play teams like Marquette and Georgetown on their conference slate instead of Tulane and SMU. So their fans now have exactly what they deserve.
