They aren't as good...and won't be. It's still a fun team to watch and a pretty good team when clicking. I still think they can do some damage in March if it all clicks...

We may never have a team to match 08. I would compare this team to last year and they are better. More depth with Shaq and Geron.

Luke Walton is the biggest blunder of Pastner's coaching career thus far. What an awful idea that was.

I can't remember which game it was. Might have been Michigan. But I remember being excited about Walton up until this game. I watched him during the shots of our bench during timeouts and I am kidding you not, he was looking at the scoreboard every single time. Zero interaction with players. What a goober that guy is.

They were perhaps the best team ever to have not won a NC. Perhaps the UNLV that did not win was. That final four they lost the NC in was perhaps the best since the advent of the 64 team tourney. It is hard to tell in this one and done age, but that is my opinion. A lessor team can win the whole thing, for sure.

Walton was never signed on to be a game coach. He was there to bang with the players during practice. I still think it was a good move even while it lasted.

Just about every team plays better after December.

I’m glad our sloppiness and shooting slumps are happening now. We have plenty of time for corrections and for our new players to adjust.

As Denny Crum always said: ”There are no freshmen in March”.
