Even when GN was not present after each loss if you listened closely you could her FIRE CALLAWAY! faintly in the distance.

His echo is permanently trapped within the confines of Legion Field.

Same here. In fact, mine was shouted in the public forum of Legion Field. I'm pretty sure everyone in Birmingham knew my opinion of Callaway.

Maybe not everyone in Birmingham, but two-thirds of the people in Legion Field did.

One of the ladies in the group let me have it with both barrels after the game...Thing was, I wasn't the only one doing any talking in that section, but she locked and loaded on me.

Were his relatives watching that mess, cuz I mean honestly...

If he was bothered by it, he could have resigned and given some of his money back, but as long as you're accepting $300,000 plus to lose at my alma mater, you and yours are gonna have to deal. Cry me a river.

I didn't read all of the emails, but I would hope to have the exact same reaction from our fanbase if Ellis pulled those shenanigans here. That mess should not be okay with anyone.

Ellis Johnson says it was 'never going to work' at Southern Miss

Ellis Johnson is a full of 01-scout as Finis St John.

Callaway was a better head coach than Ellis Johnson. Let that sink in.

So, they'd been consistently good before Johnson, and will likely be good again soon, and the period of total suckage will closely coincide with his tenure there.

Talk about unlucky.

He was, dare I say, far worse than Callaway ever was or will be, but they are cut from the same cloth, career assistants that have no clue at all what it takes to be a successful head football coach. It didn't take him long to destroy everything that coaches like Bower and Fedora established at USM.

Confuscius was right..."it only takes one match to burn a thousand trees."

Callaway can coach circles around Ellis. He could come in there and make those kids go to class like crazy.

The difference is that I cared that Callaway couldn't coach. I don't give a damn if Ellis can't coach or if USM ever wins a game.

Ellis Johnson was a BOT plant. We can't have any more uppity non-SEC schools having 12 win seasons and taking 5 star recruits from Tha Unaversutuh of Alluhbahmuh. Especially those within 180 miles of Thu Capstone.
