I know it's early, and he may be trying to stimulate a response from viewers, but how can anyone pick someone other than Memphis to be the lone CUSA team in this year's NCAA tournament?

They usually go with lowest RPI until there is a clear picture of 'conference leader' or a league has credible at larges.

While we very well could do well enough to make an 'at large' case, that is not where we are at now. Since CUSA is considered a 1 (maybe 2) bid conference, USM is the correct choice at this point.

USM is currently the highest rated RPI team in CUSA. As his default for "1 bid leagues" he just takes the team with the best RPI.

Probably at least five years' worth under Calipari.

We're certainly one of the better teams in the league and hopefully can win the conferences bid to the tournament.

What is someone smoking that is worried about something anyone says about an event that is 3 months away. He makes a living getting a reaction from people who worry about something that is hypothetical at this point.

Has UT as 10 seed-no quality wins-worse losses than us. Our 3 losses to top 20 KenPom teams-UT is not very good-we are mediocre at this point but better than UT.

Doesnt effect RPI, but the people who actually do the voting will factor it.

Maymon has not played this year and may not play at all. Decision coming in January-thus, will not influence rankings if he does not play this year.
