That's awesome. He's really improved. He was considered a weak point on the line when he was with the Dolphins. But that's really awesome!

While I am glad a former Tiger is doing well in the Pros.... I am a big Texans fan and watch a lot of their games and have only seen him claim Memphis as his school one time. I wish he would show us more love, since he isn't playing TE in the pros, a move that was made while at Memphis!!

That's right. He was cut during the Nick Saban 'era' in Miami and struggled badly.

I'll always mentally associate him with Artis Hicks, since I saw them both starting on Monday Night Football after the New Orleans Bowl parade in 2003. Pretty proud night, and 9 years later both guys are still in the league.

Could care less. On a Sunday nite game during the player intro where they say their name and school, he said his JUCO college and not Tigers.

That's pretty normal these days. Not that player intros were ever stodgy, but as players started doing more and more they decided to loosen up and mix up their shout outs. I desperately hope UCF fans weren't offended by the greatest moment in Sunday Night Football history:

Who are you to say the University of Jah and Rastafari High don't deserve just as much credit for molding him as UCF?

And I don't hold it against him, still glad he played at Memphis and it list it on the tv, but I have watched plenty of Texans games and only heard him list Memphis once.

Kinda like Rose and Chicago... it is just a very minor pet peeve for me. Be as proud of where you went to school to a small percentage as the fans of that school are proud you played there... not asking too much!

I heard him on one of the local radio stations recently and he explained why he hadnt said Memphis very much. He said that starting in the playoffs last year in any games where the players can introduce themselves (only on SNF I think) the entire offensive line would start naming their schools together starting with preschool, elementary, middle, high, etc. I dont remember them being on SNF very much since then so I guess they just havent gotten far enough to college yet. He said he was proud to go to Memphis though and did a couple times say THE University of Memphis.
