Booooooooooo!!!!!
From the Enquirer:
THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS FRIGHTFUL: Because of the winter storm affecting the Cincinnati area, the Bengals moved Wednesday’s practice to the indoor bubble at the University of Cincinnati’s Sheakley Athletics Center.
I hope they charged MB to use the bubble, charged to park anywhere close to it, charged them to use the restrooms, charged them double for bottled water, etc etc.

More like a few hundred bucks for us. They charge a rate comparable to other indoor sports facilities in the area.

I would make sure they lost 6 figures on it, just like we did at PBS after Brown got done raping us for every nickel he could.

I am going to trust that Whit and the Athletic Dept. don't give away the farm to MB. Payment now or down the road, I have faith they are looking after UC's interests.

Yep, every bit of cash in the pocket is a good thing.

Every bit of cash helps and you do not want to burn bridges with a guy that runs a stadium UC may or may not need to play an occasional game in.

The only reason UC lost money on the PBS games is because Mike Thomas signed a bad contract that did not allow UC's sponsors to display signage.
That and a lack of UC fans showing up.

RE: Booooooooooo!!!!!
No language in the contract signed by MT could have remedied the sponsorship issue as the Bengals were already contractually bound with specific sponsors requiring that those sponsors (Goldstar, LaRosas, etc) be the sole sponsors for any event. There was nothing in the PBS contracts that MT signed that could've trumped those exclusive rights already in place for Bengals vendors.
It wasn't so much that UC fans didn't show up it was UC was counting on the fans of both UofL and WVU buying tickets for the games at PBS which they didn't do in great enough numbers. UC was basically willing to sacrifice the homefield advantage of Nippert in an effort to sell more tickets to opposing teams fans. As an experiment it failed.

Mike Thomas had the option to negotiate those issues on the contract and must have chosen not to.
And he also should have based whether he should move the games to PBS on potential UC attendance at not have projected attendance that he no control. Not a good move.

RE: Booooooooooo!!!!!
The move to PBS was bad for both reasons.
Thus UC is moving ahead with renovating Nippert so they can control the sponsorships and generate additional revenue via owning and leasing the luxury boxes and premium seating.
